St Jaks ELC

The Little Jaks Early Learning Centre is co-ordinated by the Director Sue Mellier, a qualified Early Childhood Teacher. The centre aims to provide the highest quality educational outcomes for each child in a play-based environment using the Reggio Emilia principals in education.

Our Early Learning Program is designed to support children's transition to School through:

- Regular shared learning experiences with Foundation teachers and students with St Jakobi
- Opportunities for mentoring and collaboration with Junior School students;
- Weekly attendance at St Jakobi Assembly and Chapel
- Take home borrowing of books from the Junior School Library when available
- School incursion
- Participation in major School events such as Sports Day, Concert, Grandfriends Day and other significant events.

Our qualified Early Childhood Teacher acknowledges that each child has their own abilities and aspirations. Our purpose is to help your child discover theirs, and walk with them in strengthening their potential while providing a safe learning environment. This is an exciting journey for you and your child in which provides opportunities to deepen learning experiences, embrace intellectual independence, self-worth, spiritual growth and social and physical development.
