Volunteering

Volunteers are a vital resource to our school environment and can provide a variety of skill sets which are unmeasurable.

The safety and wellbeing of students is a priority and as such must ensure students and staff at the school are in a safe learning environment.

All volunteers and external providers are to provide a Working with Children Check (WWCC) as required by the South Australian Government. This check is a comprehensive screening process that provides the status of a volunteer’s eligibility to work with children. Individuals can apply for this clearance by clinking the link below.

Please note, obtaining clearance for a WWCC can take up to 6 weeks. WWCC is free for volunteers and is valid for up to 5 years. It is required by all volunteers and parents when attending excursions, camps and volunteering throughout the school.

The Valuing Safe Communities Certificate is a school requirement and goes together with the WWCC and is valid for 3 years. This is an online course with the enrolment and course details below. Records of WWCC and VSC are kept at the school, however it is the volunteer’s responsibility to maintain each certificate.

We thank all our volunteers for their generosity in assisting throughout the school. Should you have any questions, please contact the front office.
